Due to ongoing growth, we are looking for 4 x Concreters to join our small tight knit team.

Key duties and responsibilities As a Commercial Concreter, you will operate various machinery, including laser screeds and trowelling machines, to float, pan, finish, and burnish concrete on large commercial projects. You will leverage your in-depth knowledge of different concrete mixes, slab designs (such as steel fibre, combi-slab, and post-tension slabs), and the time-sensitive aspects of concrete work. Additionally, you will apply various finishing and curing techniques, ensuring all technical procedures are meticulously followed. As well as:

• Perform routine tasks associated with the pouring, spreading, smoothing and finishing of concrete in the construction of floors, stairs, ramps, footpaths, bridges.
• Placing of concrete for Concrete footpaths.
• Repair of Concrete Structures
• Laying kerb and channel
• Liaise with your Foreman or Supervisor and other construction staff when required
• Shape and cut materials to specified measurement.
• Operate handheld equipment including power tools needed for boxing and formwork.
• Boxing for footpaths, kerb and channel
• Pouring, spreading, and levelling concrete using screeds and templates

Attributes and skills required

• 3 years concrete finishing/placing/repairing experience required.
• Experience in operating laser screeds, trowelling machines etc
• Full NZ Class 1 Drivers License
• Relevant Traffic Management training such as TTM worker as bulk of the work will be working on the roads.
• Any relevant concrete industry certificates
• Experience with hand tools & sound knowledge of formwork and concrete
• Positive can-do attitude
• Good people and leadership qualities
• Reliable & Agile
• Ability to work Monday to Saturday and nightshifts when required
• Ability to take initiative and work independently
