Days required: Monday to Friday (8.30am to 5pm)

Hours per week: Guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week

Hourly rate or salary band: $27 per hour to $35 per hour

Due to ongoing work demands, we are now seeking Carpenter/Joiners to join our team.

Job description with details of the key tasks and responsibilities:

· Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and moulding

· Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, drywall, and other materials

· Construct building frameworks, including wall studs, floor joists, and doorframes

· Help put up, level, and install building framework with the aid of large pulleys and cranes

· Instruct and direct labourers and other construction helpers as directed

· Use of power tools to cut and install

· Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures

· Prepare ceilings and walls for finishing and painting

· Build and set forms for footings, walls, and slabs, and frame and finish exterior walls, roofs, and decks

· Assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install

· Cutting wood joints

· Repairing existing fittings

· Working with plastic laminates, perspex and metals.

· Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, drywall, and other materials

· Construct building frameworks, including wall studs, floor joists, and doorframes

Job pre-requisites:

1. At least three years of relevant work experience OR relevant qualification
2. Be methodical and logical, with focal attention to detail
3. Have a solutions based approach with can-do attitude
4. Be a NZ Resident or have a valid NZ Work Visa
