Pay Rate: $35.00 – $38.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
All earnings are guaranteed hourly wages. No commission or performance-based payments apply.
Woodstone Construction Ltd is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage and maintain the company’s financial records and support the financial operations of the business.
The role involves maintaining and evaluating records of financial transactions in account books and computerised accounting systems.
Tasks include:
Keeping financial records, and maintaining and balancing accounts using manual and computerised systems
Monitoring cash flow and lines of credit
Preparing and producing financial statements, budgets and expenditure reports and analyses using account books, ledgers and accounting software packages
Preparing invoices, purchase orders and bank deposits
Reconciling accounts against monthly bank statements
Verifying recorded transactions and reporting irregularities to management
Preparing forms reporting business tax entitlements and obligations such as the amount of goods and services tax (GST) paid and collected
Employment Type: Permanent, full-time
Minimum Guaranteed Hours: 30 hours per week
Work Location: New Zealand
Pay Range: $35.00 – $38.00 per hour depending on experience
Overtime: May be available and will be paid according to New Zealand employment legislation
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
A relevant bachelor degree qualification in Accounting or Commerce or higher OR at least 2 years of relevant work experience
Basic knowledge or experience with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or similar systems is preferred but not must
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organisational and time management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information
Good communication skills and ability to work independently
