LP Plastering Ltd is a plastering company that focuses on residential and commercial properties in the Auckland area.
We are looking for TWO experienced and qualified Dry Wall Plasterers to join the team. This is an immediate start, full-time position, with a given minimum of 30 hours of work per week.
Skills and experience required:
- At least 3 years' plastering relevant experience (residential or commercial)
or At least NZ Register Level 4 qualification may substitute for the experience (overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification)
Skills required are as below;
- Have knowledge of plastering materials and equipment. *Be able to determine plasterboard layout. *Have knowledge to apply different flashing and cladding systems. *Have a good attitude to work, good time management skills and are willing to learn. *Be able to comfortable work at heights and in confined spaces. *Have knowledge in applicable health and safety.
Job Descriptions:
*Applies and fixes plasterboard partition. *Washing and cleaning equipment. *Returning all equipment to the designated area and storing them properly. *Clean and prepare surfaces for plastering *Apply first coat of plaster to surfaces *Apply second coat of plaster to surfaces *Apply Top coat of plaster to surfaces *Sand surfaces ready for painting *Site work clean-up *Decorating solid plastering work *Apply skimming coat (Plastering Level 5) *Install Coving to ceiling and wall *Fix and apply plaster to suspended ceilings *Preparing and mixing plaster compound in a timely manner. *Heavy lifting is required. *Maintaining and caring for machines and equipment. *Improve the look of Gib fixing and Gib stopping finish. *Dealing with and disposing of waste in a safe and hygienic manner. *Follow the health & safety act in construction. *Apply plaster for the fire rating system. *All other related tasks that the employer may ask from time to time Other detail *This is a full-time and permanent position *Wage payment is $35 per hour, and you will be paid weekly *Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law *You will be working in Auckland *Business normal hours of operation are from Monday to Friday 9 am – 5 pm *You will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week (a maximum of 40 hours) within the business’s normal hours of operation.
