The opportunity: As a Leading Hand with our Bay of Plenty Chip seal team, you will lead the chip sealing crew for reseals throughout the local and national network.

You'll need to be flexible, this role can mean 12-hour days, night shifts, and travel/stay-aways around the North Island. Weekly hours range from 40 to 70 depending on the workload.

In addition to the above you will:

• Have experience operating and maintaining chip seal machinery.
• Undergo Daily pre-start checks, safety first, always.
• Safely operate a bitumen sprayer and class 5 truck, you will know your stuff behind the wheel.
• Pitching in with the team to get the job done, safely and efficiently.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• A clean, full class 5 license and W, T, R & DG endorsements.
• Experience in chip sealing and road construction machinery.
• A keen eye for detail and pride in your work.
