Commercial / Civil Drainlayer

Armadillo Civil Limited is a respected and growing civil engineering company delivering top-quality projects across the Bay of Plenty. We’re currently on the lookout for a skilled and experienced drainlayer to join our crew and help drive high-profile projects forward.

Due to several exciting new contracts, we’re expanding our team and need someone who brings deep drainage knowledge, practical experience, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work. If you're confident in leading crews and enjoy working on a wide range of commercial and civil projects — we'd love to hear from you.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in drainage on medium to large-scale commercial and civil jobs
• Willing and able to jump in the trenches alongside the rest of the team
• Ability to read and interpret plans, site drawings, and specifications
• Minimum WTR and Class 1 license (Class 2 and above advantageous)
• Multiskilled plant operator a bonus
• Confident with deep trenching, trench shoring, and working around live services
• Skilled in installing various pipe types and sizes, including large-diameter concrete pipe
• Self-motivated, honest, and solutions-focused
• A genuine commitment to producing top-quality work every time
• Strong communicator
• Health & Safety focused
• Accurate daily record-keeping
• Able to pass pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol testing
