Entry Level Precast Concrete Fabrication Position

We are looking for a motivated beginner to join our precast concrete manufacturing team. No prior precast experience is needed - just a good attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to work hard alongside a supportive team.

What you would be doing:

This role offers plenty of variety and the satisfaction of seeing your work take shape everyday. You will learn how to:

• Prepare casting beds by cleaning and polishing steel surfaces
• Help set up formwork for concrete panels
• Clean aluminium formwork ready for the next panel
• Learn to accurately cut and measure
• Learn to install lifting inserts and structural components accurately
• Assist to tie reinforcing cages, cutting, and measuring materials to ensure structural integrity.
• Learn plan reading and interpretation.
• Learn the safe handling and use of gantry cranes to manoeuvre materials
• Learn concrete placing and finishing
• Learn the safe use of hand and power tools

What we are looking for:

You do not need to be an expert as training will be provided. We are interested in people who:

• Are physically fit and comfortable with lifting, climbing and general hands-on work
• Have basic hand tool or carpentry experience or are keen to learn
• Can pay attention to detail
• Have good reading and interpretation skills
• Enjoy mathematics
• Enjoy working in a team environment
• Are reliable and punctual
• Have a restricted or full class one driver's license

Training and Support

We will support you to build your skills, including training in:

• Gantry crane operation
• Forklift and material-handler operation (W and F endorsements)
• An apprenticeship for the right individual
• First Aid
• For some - working at heights
