Description
This role will include:
- Reading and interpreting building plans, drawings, and specifications
- Measuring, cutting, and assembling timber and other materials
- Constructing, installing, and repairing structures including walls, roofs, frameworks, partitions, doors, and windows
- Installing fixtures such as cabinets, staircases, and flooring systems
- Undertaking formwork, framing, and finishing work
- Inspecting work to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations
- Ensuring all work meets current building codes and health & safety standards
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and other trades on-site as required
Our newest team member must have:
- A comprehensive understanding and knowledge of residential and commercial building
- 5 plus years experience in carpentry
- Have your own transport and tools
- Be familiar with the current building code and able to navigate plans
- Have a great work ethic and attitude
- Be able to work unsupervised and direct other team members
- Be diligent, conscientious and focused on detail
Position is full time minimum guaranteed hours 40 per week Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5pm. Weekend work at times if required. Competitive rates depending on experience.
