We are looking for an experienced Surfacing Worker to join our Invercargill team!

In this role, you'll be hands-on with the full process of chip sealing from site preparation and application of binder and chip through to final sweeping and surface finishing on everything from small maintenance sites to subdivision access ways and major state highway projects. You'll work with a variety of sealing aggregates and binders, gaining broad experience across the chip sealing field.
You'll also take on general surfacing duties, combining labouring tasks with machine operation. This includes the opportunity to work with a wide range of equipment such as trucks, chip spreaders, sprayers (binders), rollers, brooms, and various small tools.
Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills
In addition to your commitment to safe work practices and the willingness to work alongside your team to achieve our targets, you will also bring:
- A minimum class 1 full New Zealand Drivers Licence
- Class 2,4,5 and WTR endorsements are beneficial.
- Previous experience working with Chipsealing is preferred.
- Be physically fit as you carry out hands on activities such as shovelling, digging, lifting, periods of walking and standing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Confidence communicating and working around the public
