Qualified Roofer – Team Leader Location: Lower Hutt / Greater Wellington Type: Full-time, permanent
Newton Roofing is a busy, well-established roofing company with a growing workload, and we’re looking for an experienced Qualified Roofer / Team Leader to join our crew. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys leading a team on site.
We work across a mix of residential and commercial projects, including long run, tray roofing, TPO, and Butynol, so there’s plenty of variety and opportunity to use your skills.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading and working alongside a roofing crew on site
- Delivering high-quality roofing work safely and efficiently
- Communicating clearly with the team, management, and clients
- Using technology for job information, photos, and communication
- Supporting and mentoring less experienced team members
What we’re looking for
- A qualified and experienced roofer
- Proven ability to lead a crew and keep jobs running smoothly
- Strong communication skills, both face-to-face and via technology
- Confident using smartphones/tablets for job-related tasks
- A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
- Current full New Zealand driver’s licence
- Relevant training and qualifications (remuneration will reflect experience and capability)
