The Role

As Construction Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of small to medium commercial builds (typically up to $20M) and selected civil projects. You will lead and support a team of up to 10 Project Managers, ensuring excellence across safety, quality, programme, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing multiple concurrent projects from planning through to completion
  • Leading and supporting Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers, and subcontractors

  • Overseeing programming, reporting, and compliance
  • Upholding high standards of health and safety across all sites

About You

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • A relevant construction qualification (essential)
  • 10+ years’ experience delivering commercial or industrial projects up to $20M, or smaller civil projects
  • Strong knowledge of the local subcontractor market and NZ construction legislation
  • Proven leadership capability with the ability to drive team performance
  • Strong programming, reporting, and financial management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

What’s on Offer

  • Salary $200K–$220K (experience dependent)
  • Company vehicle + additional benefits
  • A stable, well‑resourced contractor with a strong forward workload
