This is a high performing commercial contractor that has enjoyed success with their waste and water clients/projects. They are currently seeking a qualified Project Engineer to join their construction team, with a focus on waste and water infrastructure projects. This is a hands-on delivery role suited to an engineer who thrives on technical complexity, stakeholder coordination, and seeing projects through from groundworks to handover.
About the Role
You’ll work closely with the Project Manager to ensure quality, safety, and programme outcomes across a range of commercial builds with integrated waste and water components. From early planning through to commissioning, you’ll play a key role in technical delivery, subcontractor management, and client liaison.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of projects with waste and water infrastructure elements
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants
- Monitor QA, compliance, and environmental standards
- Assist with procurement, scheduling, and reporting
- Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery
- Support site teams with technical input and problem-solving
What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering
- 5+ years’ experience in infrastructure delivery
- Strong understanding of waste and water systems, compliance, and installation
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work across multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities
- A proactive mindset and commitment to quality outcomes
