Join a Company That Does Things Differently At Vertac, we work on some of New Zealand’s most challenging and interesting buildings — delivering façade remediation, leak repairs, inspections, and maintenance using highly skilled rope access teams. Established in 2006, Vertac has built a strong national reputation for quality, safety, and technical expertise. We’re now looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Auckland team. This is a role for a confident leader and strong communicator who enjoys managing varied projects within a down-to-earth, inclusive team environment.
About the Role You’ll lead and deliver façade repair and maintenance projects from start to finish, overseeing budgets, timelines, teams, and liaising with clients.
This role combines:
- Project Management (80%) – leading repair & maintenance projects
- Team Leadership (20%) – managing and supporting rope technicians

What You’ll Be Doing Project Management (80%)
- Lead façade repair & maintenance projects from initiation through to completion
- Prepare and oversee budgets, schedules, and resourcing
- Monitor progress and adjust timelines or resources as required
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Maintain compliance with H&S, legal, and regulatory requirements
- Keep documentation aligned with company systems and standards
Team Leadership (20%)
- Manage and support a team of rope technicians
- Provide clear direction and leadership onsite and offsite
- Ensure technicians are equipped, compliant, and supported
What We’re Looking For You’ll likely bring:
- 3+ years’ experience managing construction, engineering, façade, or rope access projects
- Strong understanding of project planning, budgeting, and risk management
- Proven experience leading teams and managing performance
- Confidence in stakeholder communication
- Ideally a tertiary qualification in Construction, Engineering, or similar (this would be fantastic!)
