Join Our Team — Quantity Surveyor

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-driven Operations & Contracts Manager to join us at Lighthouse — a hands-on role supporting the cost planning and delivery of our premium townhouse and standalone housing projects.

Based in Mount Maunganui, this is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our development and construction teams, playing a key role from feasibility through to completion.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be responsible for cost estimation, budgeting, procurement, and contract administration across our residential developments. You’ll also support project delivery and performance tracking across all stages of the build.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparing and maintaining accurate cost estimates, budgets, and cashflows
• Managing tenders and subcontractor procurement
• Liaising with consultants, suppliers, and contractors
• Monitoring project financials and cost-to-complete
• Supporting the team with reporting and compliance

What we’re looking for:

We’re after someone with some or all of the following:

• 2–5 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying, Estimating, or Project Coordination
• A tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
• A sharp analytical mind and strong Excel skills
• A solid understanding of NZ building codes and contracts
• Clear communication skills, great attention to detail, and a proactive approach
