This is a NZ owned and operated project management consultancy has built a strong reputation across the construction industry delivering high profile projects to both the public and private sectors. With Directors well positioned to provide expert project advisory on large infrastructure investments, their credibility and hard work with bidding has ensured a growth project pipeline. Key government sectors including heath, education and wider social infrastructure plus expertise in the horizontal sectors including transport and water.
They are now looking for an intermediate to senior level project manager that ideally has vertical project experience in PM consultancy, but horizontal experience will be considered.
Typically you will need to be able to:
- Establish the project through appointing consultants, producing feasibility studies, monitoring all statutory processes and advising on procurement options
- Project manage the construction phase, having responsibility for QA/risk, financial reporting, budget management/cost control, programming, defects list, remedial works and various project reports
- Manage stakeholders and conduct and/or chair meetings
As a project manager, you will need to come from a construction consultancy/client-side background. You have 5- 8 years of NZ based experience with involvement on projects across industries such as health, education, industrial, aged care, high rise residential, water and transport. A tertiary qualification in Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Building Science, or Engineering is essential. Leadership qualities, a tenacious attitude and passion for what you do will make the cut in this environment. Your ability to articulate issues, harness relationships and build your own brand in the industry will enable success. Salary $130K - $145K Benefits + Outstanding career promotional opportunities.
