Senior Project Manager - Civil Infrastructure

We’re partnering with a leading civil contracting business to appoint a Senior Project Manager to take full ownership of a complex, multi-million-dollar civil infrastructure project.

This is a senior role for an experienced PM who has managed complex civil projects, thrives at the interface of delivery, contract management, and stakeholder engagement, and can operate with authority across multi-million-dollar budgets.

The Project

This is a large-scale civil infrastructure project, designed to deliver long-term resilience and critical outcomes for the region.

The project is being delivered to a 100+ year design life, making it a true piece of infrastructure that will stand the test of time. It carries significant community visibility and requires a Project Manager who understands the importance of getting it right the first time.

With extensive earthworks, concrete structures, and multiple stakeholder interfaces, this is a project of real significance - both technically and from a community impact perspective.

The Role

You’ll lead the project from day-to-day execution to completion, ensuring safety, quality, contractual compliance, and commercial performance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing subcontractors, pricing, variations, claims, and contract compliance
• Delivering accurate reporting on budgets, cost-to-complete, progress, and risks
• Owning stakeholder engagement, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, councils, subcontractors, and communities
• Ensuring QA, H&S, and environmental compliance
• Supporting bid strategy, contract methodology, and commercial oversight
• Driving team performance, accountability, and standards across multi-layered teams

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience delivering complex civil projects of $20M+ from start to finish
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience managing clients, councils, subcontractors, and community groups
• Commercial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, variations, claims, and financial reporting
• Hands-on leadership of multi-layered teams, with credibility and authority
• Ability to operate under pressure, make critical decisions, and manage challenging on-site interactions
• Mature, professional, and “hardline” where required, with honesty and accountability

This is not a mid-level PM role. The successful candidate will have the autonomy, influence, and authority to deliver a high-profile project and manage multiple priorities at a senior level.
