Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity Reporting to the Regional Manager , this is a senior leadership role with full accountability for the operational, financial and safety performance of our Traffic Services business.
You will provide strong direction and leadership to our Traffic Management Planning, Design and Operations teams, ensuring a safe, high-quality and commercially successful service for both internal and external clients.
This role is critical to growing Downer's in-house TTM capability, developing local business opportunities and embedding a strong Zero Harm culture across the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end performance of the Traffic Services business in Taranaki
- Drive profitable self-perform TTM operations and grow external client work.
- Build, develop and engage high-performing TTM teams.
- Champion Zero Harm, ensuring safety, quality, environmental and compliance standards are met
- Manage regional budgets, forecasts, utilisation and productivity targets
- Oversee planning, resourcing and delivery of contracts to achieve time, cost and quality outcomes
- Develop strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders and internal partners
- Identify and convert new business opportunities while retaining and growing existing contracts

You are a confident and credible leader with strong commercial acumen and a passion for developing people. You thrive in a fast-paced operational environment and are comfortable balancing safety, service delivery and financial performance.
You'll bring:
- Proven experience in Traffic Management/NZGTTM Transition ( preferable )
- Demonstrated business and project management experience with P&L accountability
- A strong track record leading multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent stakeholder, client and relationship management skills
- Sound financial, planning and forecasting capability
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to lead through change
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
