Project Engineer | Junior Project Manager

• Salary up to $140,000 + vehicle + laptop + fuel card

This long standing and premier Waikato civil contractor specialises in subdivisions, 3 waters drainage and commercial site works projects.

With a long term staff member leaving to jump the ditch to Australia, they now require a Project Engineer / Junior Project Manager to join their high performing team.

In this role you will be well supported and mentored by Senior Project Managers, the Managing Director and the Contracts / Commercial Manager to help to take the next step up in your career.

Some of your day to day tasks will include:

• Assist in project management of works under your control, project documentation, budget resource management
• Liaise with clients, consultants, sub-contractors and local authorities
• Provide support to investigate, negotiate and secure new work
• Preparation of tenders including price estimation and associated non price attributes
• Take off quantities for tendered and design build or lump sum works
• Input into contractor initiated alternative designs or contractor designed works
• Provide field set out and testing as required by contract works
• Monitor project progress including work in progress and cost to complete and provide corrective action where necessary
• Assist in providing month end financials for claims, support the project manager

This role would be ideal for a Senior Site Engineer looking to take the next step of their career or a Project Engineer or Junior Project Manager looking for a new challenge and change of scenery.
