This group home builder has been one of the most successful with a brand built over many years. It is a brand recognised for quality in design and are at the high end of the group home building market. The company have great support systems, strong trade and supplier relationships, and a cohesive team culture.
They now need to identify an intermediate QS to assist in the financial management of several townhouse, terraced housing developments and standalone housing.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, your role involves:
- Procurement/estimating
- Working in close partnership with owner/project managers
- Contract administration
- Financial reporting and variations, project cost controls, reviewing project forecasts/work in progress
- Orders preparation
- Supplier management
Key background:
- 3- 4 + years of residential/group home builder experience including knowledge of NZ construction processes, exposure to high density multi-unit would be ideal
- Tertiary qualified in quantity surveying
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills
- Strong NZ Building Code knowledge and NZS 3604 plus 3910
- Strong financial nous and business acumen
- Experienced in using cost management software such as Cost X
- Accuracy
- Drive and want to build a career within this company
Salary $100K - $120K pending experience.
