Why Apply

Doing the work of a Construction Manager but not getting paid or recognised like one?

Our client is a Sydney-based construction company looking for a Site Supervisor to lead project delivery, manage teams, and help shape how the business runs. This is a senior leadership role in all but title. You will supervise Project Managers and Site Managers, report directly to the Managing Director, and have genuine input into strategy, tendering, and operations.

  • Earn $160k gross package (base circa $143k + 11.5% super + 17.5% leave loading), paid weekly
  • Based in Leichhardt, inner west Sydney, Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm
  • Lead delivery across commercial and corporate fit-out projects from handover through to defects
  • Direct reporting line to the Managing Director with real influence over how the business is run
  • Laptop, phone allowance, and parking reimbursement all included
  • Probation waived for the right candidate, a genuine signal of trust from day one

The Role

You will be leading construction project delivery for our client across a mix of office and site-based work in Sydney. The remit is broad: team leadership, budget management, safety compliance, subcontractor oversight, and contributing to business development and operational strategy.

Day to day you will be:

  • Overseeing project programmes and keeping milestones on track
  • Conducting regular site visits and chairing weekly project team meetings
  • Attending handover, contractor, PCG, and defects walkthroughs
  • Supporting teams with risk analysis, mitigation, and compliance obligations
  • Managing labour allocation across active and upcoming projects
  • Evaluating subcontractor performance and maintaining preferred supplier lists
  • Assisting with tender reviews, buildability analysis, and submission support
  • Working alongside senior leadership on strategy, systems, and continuous improvement

Hours are 40 per week between 7am and 5pm Monday to Friday, with the occasional Saturday as operationally required. Reasonable additional hours are included in the package, with TOIL at the company's discretion.

What We Need

  • Diploma or Degree in Construction Management or equivalent, this is non-negotiable
  • Minimum 15 years in the construction industry with at least 5 years specifically in corporate fit-out
  • Minimum 5 years in a Construction Manager or senior equivalent role
  • White Card, Certificate III in WHS, and current Senior First Aid on arrival
  • Certified leadership training and a proven track record managing project budgets and cost control
  • Strong communicator comfortable in PCG meetings, tender interviews, and senior stakeholder settings

Why This Role

At $160k gross paid weekly, this is a clean, competitive package for someone operating at a genuinely senior level in Sydney construction. You will not be siloed into one narrow function. Delivery, strategy, tendering, and people leadership are all part of the remit from day one.

Our client is growing and wants someone who can operate at both a strategic and operational level without needing hand-holding. If that sounds like you, this role is worth a conversation.
