We are on the lookout for an experienced Civil Site Manager to join an expanding team and help deliver a variety of civil construction projects across the Bay of Plenty.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for running day-to-day site operations on a mix of local authority infrastructure, commercial civil works, subdivision projects, and repair and maintenance works. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be leading from the front, working on the tools alongside the crew while keeping everything running smoothly.
You’ll manage people, plant, and processes on site, making sure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Running daily civil construction activities on site
- Leading crews and coordinating plant and equipment
- Managing onsite health & safety and site documentation
- Ensuring quality standards and plans are followed
- Supporting cost control and productivity on site
- Reading and working from construction plans
- Leading by example and keeping the team motivated
There may be some travel involved at times, with occasional stays away from home.
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 5 years’ experience in civil construction
- Solid knowledge of excavation works and safety requirements
- Experience with advanced civil construction methods and RITS
- Ability to confidently read and follow construction drawings
- Minimum 1 year of experience leading a team
- Machinery operating experience (a bonus)
- A practical, hands-on attitude and strong leadership skills
