Description

Why Apply

Fed up with early starts, long commutes, and being told where to be and when every single day?

Our client is an established residential insurance repair company that has been operating since 2008, sitting on the panels of six major Australian insurers. They urgently need a Supervisor to manage a portfolio of 40 to 60 residential insurance repair jobs across the Coffs Harbour and northern NSW region. You control your own calendar, work from home, and get out to sites when the job needs it.

  • Earn up to $120k (base $104k–$108k + super)
  • Fully maintained company vehicle and mobile phone provided
  • Flexible hours and full autonomy over how you structure your week
  • Varied insurance repair work across storm, hail, flood, and fire damage, no two jobs the same
  • Clear promotion pathway into Project Manager roles, this is where our client grows their PMs from
  • 5,000+ subcontractors already on the books, no need to build your own network from scratch

The Role

This is not a traditional on-tools supervisor role. You will be managing a portfolio of 40 to 60 residential insurance repair jobs at any one time, coordinating trades, visiting customer properties for inspections and quoting, and overseeing work through to completion. It is a hybrid assessor and project coordinator position that suits someone who can think on their feet, organise multiple moving parts, and work without needing to be managed.

Day to day you will be:

  • Walking damaged properties, diagnosing the scope of repairs, and booking the right trades
  • Scheduling and coordinating subcontractors across a high-volume portfolio of active jobs
  • Conducting site visits for inspections, quoting, and trade oversight
  • Managing jobs across bathroom and kitchen repairs, roofing, and storm or flood damage
  • Using our client's in-house claims platform and virtual inspection tools, full training provided

The role is primarily work from home with site visits built around your own schedule. The primary location for this vacancy is Coffs Harbour and northern NSW. Candidates based in QLD or Victoria are also welcome to apply, noting that QLD-based candidates must hold or be willing to work toward a QBCC Site Supervisor licence.

What We Need

  • A trade background, carpenter is the strongest fit, electrician or plumber also considered
  • Solid residential renovation knowledge, bathrooms, kitchens, and roofing are the core repair types
  • Comfort scheduling and coordinating multiple subcontractors simultaneously across a large job portfolio
  • Roofing experience is a major bonus right now given current hail event volumes across QLD
  • Computer literate and willing to learn new software platforms quickly

Why This Role

At up to $120k plus a company vehicle and phone, this is a genuinely strong package for a role you can work from home. No crew underneath you, no site office, no one dictating your schedule. You manage your portfolio, you own your day.

For Kiwis with renovation, insurance repair, or multi-trade coordination experience, this role is a natural fit. NSW candidates can start immediately with no licence requirements standing in the way.
