THE COMPANY Road Metals is a family-owned South Island business with over 70 years’ experience as a leading quarry and aggregate supply company, operating quarries, mobile crushing plants and trucking fleet. As an integral part of the company, Kiwi Concrete operates as an independent ready-mix concrete supplier servicing the Otago and Canterbury regions, with batching plants in Oamaru, Twizel, Christchurch and Kaikoura.
THE POSITION A position has become available within Road Metals and Kiwi Concrete for an area supervisor to oversee our Twizel operations. This is a hands-on position providing leadership and management of business operations for both Road Metals and Kiwi Concrete, to ensure financial, operational and customer satisfaction targets are achieved. The role would involve promoting plans for business growth and managing our client base, including the development of new customers.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Experience within the quarry, aggregate or ready-mix concrete industries
- Strong administration and computer skills
- Excellent time management and organisational ability
- A practical, proactive approach to problem-solving
- A strong commitment to Health, Safety and Wellbeing
- Clear and confident communication skills
- A genuine customer-first mindset
- Pride in maintaining high fleet presentation standards
- Proven experience operating Loaders and Class 4 vehicles
