Description

This is a forward thinking building and project management consultancy known for delivering high quality technical advice, clear reporting, and practical solutions across the property lifecycle. They have regular clients across a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, and public sector projects. The Opportunity

They are looking for an Intermediate Building Surveyor who’s ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll work closely with a Senior Building Surveyor and Directors gaining exposure to a wide range of surveying disciplines while taking ownership of your own projects. This role offers genuine progression, client interaction, and the chance to build specialist expertise.

The Role

. Carrying out building condition surveys, defect diagnosis, and technical due diligence

  • Preparing clear, accurate, and client ready reports
  • Assisting with project management and contract administration
  • Supporting complex assessments and refurbishment projects
  • Undertaking site inspections, compliance assessments, and maintenance planning
  • Building strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams
  • Contributing to continuous improvement and best practice processes

Your Background

  • 3–6 years’ experience in building surveying or a related discipline
  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • Strong technical knowledge of building pathology, construction methods, and compliance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with confidence
  • A proactive mindset
  • Ideally working toward (or interested in pursuing) professional accreditation (e.g., RICS, NZIBS)
