We are seeking a proactive and organised Traffic Management Supervisor to join our Christchurch Maintenance team. This full-time, office-based role is critical to ensuring the safety of workers, road users, and the public, while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising and coordinating traffic management teams and operations.
  • Ensuring traffic control measures and compliance with approved plans and standards.
  • Overseeing safety, risk management, and site audits.
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and authorities.
  • Supporting staff training, mentoring, and record-keeping.
  • Adapting to changing site conditions and performing other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Current STMS (or CAT A/B/C equivalent) qualification
  • Proven experience in supervising TTM on large and small projects
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • A proactive, safety-first mindset
  • Proven experience in traffic management supervision
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic environments.
  • Full NZ Driver's License

Desirable

  • First Aid Certificate
  • Experience with electronic TMP systems
  • Strong understanding of New Zealand guide to temporary traffic management and relevant legislation.
