The Higgins Green Team in Napier are looking for a permanent full time STMS to join the Traffic Management Crew.
About the role
In this role you will be leading a small crew you will oversee and execute temporary traffic management duties, safeguarding the public, site personnel and traffic flow. You will enjoy a work schedule of at least 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday between 6am-6pm and have the flexibility to work additional hours/days as required.
- Design, adjust, and implement traffic management plans
- Ensure compliance with safety measures and TMPs
- Coordinate and delegate tasks to crew members
- Maintain accurate daily records and report incidents
- Provide training and guidance to staff
- Safely control traffic and maintain equipment
What you'll bring to the role
- A safety-first attitude - for yourself, your team and the public
- STMS with Cat A / Cat B practising warrant
- Proven experience in the traffic industry
- Experience leading a crew is desirable
- Full Class 1 Licence is essential, Class 2 licence desirable
- Ability to work on call / night work
- A high level of physical fitness due to the physical nature of the role
