Description

The Higgins Green Team in Napier are looking for a permanent full time STMS to join the Traffic Management Crew.

About the role

In this role you will be leading a small crew you will oversee and execute temporary traffic management duties, safeguarding the public, site personnel and traffic flow. You will enjoy a work schedule of at least 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday between 6am-6pm and have the flexibility to work additional hours/days as required.

  • Design, adjust, and implement traffic management plans
  • Ensure compliance with safety measures and TMPs
  • Coordinate and delegate tasks to crew members
  • Maintain accurate daily records and report incidents
  • Provide training and guidance to staff
  • Safely control traffic and maintain equipment

What you'll bring to the role

  • A safety-first attitude - for yourself, your team and the public
  • STMS with Cat A / Cat B practising warrant
  • Proven experience in the traffic industry
  • Experience leading a crew is desirable
  • Full Class 1 Licence is essential, Class 2 licence desirable
  • Ability to work on call / night work
  • A high level of physical fitness due to the physical nature of the role
