Description

The Green Team in Napier is looking for permanent full time Traffic Management Operatives to join our Traffic Management division.

This is a practical, hands-on role where you'll be out on the road helping keep our crews, road users and local communities safe. You'll assist with setting up traffic management sites, controlling traffic flow, and creating safe workspaces for your colleagues. You'll also support pedestrians and respond to questions from local residents, representing Higgins in a professional and approachable way.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Traffic Management experience, or a genuine willingness to learn and be trained
  • TC qualification (Level 1 minimum) is desirable
  • Full New Zealand Class 1 Driver's Licence
  • Class 2 licence preferred, or willingness to obtain one
  • A strong safety focus for yourself, your team and the public
  • Reliable, punctual and motivated
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
  • A team-focused attitude with good problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to take part in an on-call roster
