Job Title: Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) Location: Lower Hutt Contract Type: Ongoing Application Deadline: ASAP
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) to join our team in Lower Hutt.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all traffic management operations onsite, ensuring the safety and efficiency of vehicular and pedestrian movement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement traffic management plans in accordance with local regulations and project requirements.
- Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of traffic management personnel onsite.
- Monitor traffic flow and make real time adjustments to ensure safety and minimise disruptions.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Liaise with project managers, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with traffic management standards.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on traffic management activities and incidents.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid STMS Level 1, 2, or 3 certification.
- Proven experience in traffic management, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of traffic management regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick, informed decisions.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
