Description

  • Take ownership of your own motor vehicle lending portfolio in arrears

  • Tuesday to Saturday role with 2 days/week WFH flexibility (once trained)

ABOUT THE ROLE This organisation is a well-established financial services provider with a strong focus on customer outcomes. They have positive, supportive team environment and offer the opportunity for growth within. You will manage a portfolio of overdue accounts, working with customers to find practical repayment solutions while meeting performance and quality targets. This is a busy, phone-based role where clear communication and resilience are key.

KEY DUTIES

  • Manage overdue accounts and reduce arrears, write-offs, and provisions
  • Make outbound calls and handle inbound enquiries and shared team queues
  • Negotiate sustainable repayment plans and support account rehabilitation
  • Maintain accurate notes and stay on top of your portfolio
  • Meet call, productivity, and quality targets
  • Complete admin tasks in a timely and accurate manner
  • Handle sensitive conversations with professionalism and empathy
  • Work collaboratively within a close-knit team environment
  • Follow company policies and relevant NZ financial services legislation

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years of experience in collections experience
  • Experience supporting customers in financial difficulty
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with a clear phone manner
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Good attention to detail and time management
  • Knowledge of CCCFA and hardship processes is advantageous
  • Reliable, motivated, and a team player
