We are seeking enthusiastic and dependable individuals to play an important role in building positive relationships between local businesses, the public, and the wider community within Auckland CBD.
In this front facing role, you’ll engage with businesses and residents, delivering excellent customer service by addressing concerns and resolving conflict in a calm, professional manner. Your focus will be on promoting positive interactions, mutual understanding, and a supportive environment across Tamaki Makaurau.
Key Details
- ASAP start – candidates must be available immediately
- Temporary assignment until June 2026
- $30 per hour + 8% holiday pay
- Based in Auckland CBD
- Patrolling the community on foot, monitoring public activity and addressing concerns & responding to incidents safely and efficiently
- Proactively dispatching resources when required
- Liaising with local businesses and stakeholders
- Providing visible support to the community
Hours & Roster
- Fortnightly rotating roster
- Must be flexible as weekend and public holiday work is required
- Rostered 6 days one week and 4 days the next between the hours of 7am and 10pm with shifts ranging from 8 to 10 hours per day
- 80 hours per fortnight with opportunities for overtime available
About You
This is a highly visible, public facing role. You will be confident engaging with a diverse range of people and experienced in managing challenging situations.
- Full NZ Driver’s Licence is required
- A positive attitude and genuine people focused approach
- Strong communication skills, confident writing daily reports
- Msut pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Solid customer service experience
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
- Experience managing and de-escalating conflict
