Working Foreman Tiler Christchurch | Full-time | Leadership role Metrofloor Contracting Ltd is a locally owned and operated tiling company with a strong reputation across Christchurch and the wider South Island. We deliver high-quality tiling solutions across major commercial builds and premium residential projects and are proud to have worked on some of Christchurch’s most recognised developments. Our recent projects include the new One New Zealand Stadium, The Court Theatre, Christchurch Town Hall restoration, Earthquake Memorial Wall, The Crossing and Mecca stores nationwide along with work for a range of well-established, reputable commercial clients. With a strong pipeline of upcoming work, we’re looking for an experienced Working Foreman Tiler to join our small, skilled team in a key leadership role. About the role This is a hands-on leadership position where you’ll lead from the front. You’ll be on the tools while also overseeing daily site operations, coordinating the team, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard. You’ll be a key point of contact on site, working closely with management, clients, and other trades to ensure smooth project delivery. What you’ll be doing

• Leading, supervising, training and mentoring a team of tilers
• Carrying out high-quality tiling work on large-scale commercial and residential projects
• Interpreting plans, setting out tile layouts, preparing substrates and applying waterproofing
• Coordinating materials, deliveries and site logistics
• Liaising with other trades (plumbers, electricians, builders, etc.)
• Ensuring all work meets building codes, specifications and design requirements
• Maintaining strong site safety practices in line with OSH guidelines
• Communicating project progress with management and clients What we’re looking for
• Proven experience as a qualified tiler, ideally with foreman or senior site leadership experience
• Strong technical knowledge across a variety of tiling systems, materials and finishes
• A confident, practical leadership style and strong work ethic
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends, after-hours or out-of-town when required What’s on offer
