An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Christchurch branch for a full time dynamic, outgoing, customer focused person to oversee the sales administration and to ensure the team delivers great customer service experience at all times.

The successful candidate would ideally have experience in customer service, although training will be provided. Neatness & attention to detail are prime requisites.

Tasks & responsibilities

-Using a forklift (full training provided) to move stock and unload stock transfers. -Picking and packing customers orders. -To ensure that a high standard of customer service is maintained to all customers. -To provide quotation services, accurately and on time. -To acquire and maintain appropriate general knowledge of the Company's products, sales, service, and administration procedures to ensure that efficiency, accuracy, and an excellent standard of service is maintained to all customers in the Showroom. -To maintain knowledge of market potential for products and customer requirements, recommending appropriate changes in display, promotion, or advertising, as necessary. -To proactively monitor stock levels in the Showroom to ensure optimum stock levels are always maintained as informed by your Reporting Manager. -To ensure secure and efficient use of space for receiving, storing and distribution of products and materials. -To complete assigned documentation and system reports related to stock management and control function. -To ensure that you are kept updated on supplier promotions, new products, and any other relevant changes.

Qualifications & experience

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Proficiency in using computer systems and customer management software. -Can perform well under pressure. -Industry knowledge is preferred but not essential. -2-3 years of experience within a similar role.
