We are looking for an experienced and qualified Kaiako to provide care and education to our Under 2 year old children. If you are a fully registered ECE Kaiako with a love for supporting young children and creating meaningful relationships this could be your next exciting step. We provide better than a 1:4 ratio, to ensure our infants are provided the best of care.
A little about us: We are a family-owned centre, based in Point Chevalier. Inspired by RIE and Reggio Emilia philosophy, we believe the environment is the third teacher, with beautiful native trees covering our large sunny outdoors. Add to this, our friendly and passionate team provide a positive and friendly atmosphere for our young children. Respect underlies all aspects of our philosophy, and we work closely with our tamariki and their whānau to build strong, trusting relationships that allow us to deliver individualised, quality, care and learning. Our experienced Centre Director is there to offer support and advice. Provisional registration mentoring is provided.
A little about you:
We are looking for a great communicator who will build strong relationships and maintain high standards of care and education for our young tamariki.
You will be reliable and bring to the workplace a positive attitude, a sense of humour, and an abundance of energy.
Role Requirements:
- B Ed/Dip Teaching (ECE) and current teacher registration. Provisional registration support offered.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a New Zealand centre.
- An understanding of implementing a RIE and Reggio Emilia environment.
- Initiative, desire and passion for quality practice standards and commitment to the principles of Te Whāriki
