Caregiver – Casual / Reliever Opportunities

Are you passionate about supporting young children to thrive? Do you enjoy working in a flexible environment where every day is different? We are currently seeking reliable and enthusiastic Caregivers to join our teams across South Auckland, Franklin and Waiuku.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants flexible work while making a meaningful difference in early childhood education.

About the Role

As a Caregiver, you will work alongside teaching teams to support the day-to-day running of our centres. This role focuses on helping create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, explore, and grow.

You may be working with a range of age groups from infants through to preschoolers, supporting teachers with routines, activities, and supervision.

This is a casual reliever position, meaning you will have the flexibility to work across multiple centres depending on staffing needs. Shifts can vary, making this an ideal role for someone looking for flexibility while gaining valuable experience in the early childhood sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting teachers with the care and supervision of children
  • Helping maintain a safe, clean, and organised learning environment
  • Assisting with daily routines such as mealtimes, sleep times, and play-based activities
  • Engaging positively with children to support their learning and wellbeing
  • Working collaboratively with centre teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Ensuring children are always supervised and safe

What We're Looking For

We are looking for people who are reliable, caring, and enjoy working with children. Previous experience working with children is beneficial but not essential.

You will ideally have:

  • A genuine interest in supporting children's learning and development
  • Confidence working in a team environment
  • A positive, proactive attitude
  • Strong communication skills
  • Flexibility to work across multiple centres and locations
  • The ability to build positive relationships with children and staff

Requirements

To be considered for this role you must:

  • Have the legal right to work in New Zealand
  • Be comfortable working in a licensed early childhood environment
  • Be able to travel to centres across South Auckland, and Franklin as required
  • Be willing to undergo a Police Vetting check as required for working with children
