Description
At Busy Bees Ōtāhuhu, we believe every tamaiti is a unique and special taonga. Located in the heart of our vibrant community, we are centered around culture, connection, and adventure. We are looking for an unregistered kaiako to join our whānau on a fixed-term basis until December 2026, helping us empower our tamariki to become the active, confident, and curious learners they were born to be.
About us: As part of the wider Busy Bees Aotearoa whānau, we are backed by a national network that brings global expertise, extensive professional development, and a deep commitment to high-quality education. This partnership allows us to provide a superior standard of care while staying true to our local identity here in Ōtāhuhu. Our centre features three amazing learning environments designed for each unique stage of development, from the trusting bonds of our Nursery to the independence-focused Preschool. We are proud recipients of the Healthy Heart Award, and our Nourish menu ensures our tamariki are fueled by fresh, home-cooked meals prepared on-site. Life here is deeply connected to our community, with regular excursions to local libraries and parks that encourage our tamariki to explore and connect with nature-papatūānuku.
About you: You are someone who brings a proactive "can-do" spirit and a genuine heart for the early years, whether you are a beginning teacher just starting out, currently studying, or bringing a wealth of life experience to our classrooms. We are looking for a kaiako who acts with integrity, communicates with warmth and clarity, and isn't afraid to get down on the floor to follow a child’s lead. You value the power of Whanaungatanga, celebrate the beautiful diversity of our families, and take pride in maintaining an inclusive environment where learning unfolds naturally and every child feels a true sense of belonging.
Why you’ll love it here:
- Teacher in Training Support
- Discounted childcare
- Monthly wellbeing support and access to EAP
- A Vibrant Culture - Work alongside a highly skilled, supportive team in a fun and exciting workplace.
If you are ready to help our tamariki reach their goals in an environment built on respect and connection, we would love to hear from you.
Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid work visa.
