Description

Are you a passionate and experienced early childhood kaiako ready to lead with heart, purpose, and authenticity?

Treetops Early Learning Centre, a family owned centre nestled in the heart of Botany, is seeking a dedicated Kaitiaki/Head Teacher to guide our toddlers’ room.

We are a privately owned centre in the heart of Botany, with a stable, long-standing team. Our philosophy is grounded in placing children at the heart of everything we do. We value authentic relationships, respectful caregiving, and a strong sense of community.

In this role, you will lead and support a team of kaiako, create a calm and responsive environment for tamariki, and guide practice in line with Te Whāriki. Building strong relationships with children, whānau, and your team is a key part of this role, along with supporting a collaborative and reflective team culture.

We are looking for someone who brings:

  • Proven experience in a leadership or team leader role within early childhood education
  • Strong, practical knowledge of Te Whāriki
  • Collaborative leadership style that empowers and uplifts others
  • A deep understanding of nurturing caregiving practices for toddlers
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • A commitment to ongoing reflective practice.

Please note we are not an accredited employer and applicants must already have the legal right to work in New Zealand.

If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you! Send your CV and cover letter to lisa@treetopslearning.co.nz
