About the Role: Are you a passionate Teacher in Training looking for the perfect place to learn and grow? We have an exciting opportunity in our infants' room for someone who is eager to develop their skills alongside an experienced team. The ideal candidate will be confident, have strong communication skills, and be open to learning. While some experience in ECE, including reliever work, is preferred, we welcome applicants at any year level of study. Knowledge of the RIE approach would be a great advantage!
This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week Monday - Friday (Can be flexible with 4 x 10 hour days or 5 x 8 hour days)
What We're Looking For:
- Enrolment in a Level 7 ECE Bachelor or Graduate Diploma course
- A passion for working with infants and a desire to learn from experienced educators
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with children, families, and colleagues
- Understanding of child-led curriculum and a commitment to high-quality education
- Knowledge of ECE Regulations, Te Whāriki, and a strong regard for compliance
- Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
