BestStart Redwood is looking for an inspiring and experienced Qualified and Registered Teacher to step into the role of Head Teacher in our Pohutukawa room, supporting our curious and capable 2–3.5‑year‑olds. We are Tipu me te ako tahi — Growing and Learning Together — and we're searching for a leader who embodies this vision.

About the Role
This is a permanent, full-time (40 hours, Monday–Friday) leadership position. Our Pohutukawa room supports tamariki as they develop communication skills, build relationships, and grow their confidence as lifelong learners. You'll lead a passionate team of Kaiako who are committed to responsive practice and meaningful learning.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a natural leader with proven ECE leadership experience and a strong commitment to high-quality teaching and learning. You will bring:
- BEd/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher certification
- Strong knowledge of programme planning, assessment, and pedagogy
- A deep understanding of Te Whāriki and ECE regulations
- A commitment to quality practice and continuous improvement
- The ability to inspire, guide, and support kaiako
