Environment Support / Food Prep

Seedlings Early Learning Centre (Longhurst) is one of two privately owned preschools serving our local community in Halswell. We have built a strong reputation and are proud of our welcoming environment where children and whānau feel right at home.

We are on the search for a friendly and organised Environment Support person to work alongside our Owners, Kaiako and tamariki/whānau in a rewarding role responsible for the preparation and serving of our morning and afternoon Kai along with the management of our laundry needs. This is a part time role (30 hours per week - 6 hours per day)

The Opportunity/Responsibilities:

• Planning and preparation of morning and afternoon kai for our tamariki
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Supporting compliance reports and licensing requirements in relation to the provision of food
• Maintaining accurate records of food and ordering
• Management of our laundering needs

About You:

• Proven experience within a similar environment working in food prep and associated hygiene practices
• A bubbly, warm and professional attitude to your work and the people around you
• Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to connect with team members and support them along with our tamariki/whānau
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask
• Passionate about children's nutrition and refined-sugar-free-food
