BestStart Palmerston North is a centrally located centre with a unique setup four separate buildings, each with its own playground and personality. With a team of long-standing staff, we offer a supportive, stable, and welcoming environment.
You'll provide high-quality care and create a safe, engaging environment where tamariki can learn and thrive. Working alongside a close-knit team, you'll support daily centre operations and contribute to meaningful learning experiences across all age groups.
Experience working with children under five is preferred and a genuine passion for early childhood education. We are looking for someone who is caring, proactive, and a strong team player, eager to learn and grow. You also bring enthusiasm and fresh ideas, contributing positively to the learning environment and team culture.
Working alongside a supportive, experienced team and reporting to the Centre Manager, you'll contribute to a positive centre culture where collaboration and respect are key.
In this role, you will:
- Provide high-quality care and education for tamariki
- Build strong, responsive relationships with children and your team
- Support learning through play, creativity, and exploration
- Contribute to daily centre operations, including covering breaks
- Work across different age groups as needed
This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday - Friday.
