Our Centre – All About Children – New Plymouth offers a spacious learning environment with abundant resources, and a strong curriculum focus on outdoor education.
We are currently seeking a professional and reliable Cook to join our team on a casual, as-required basis, primarily responsible for planning and preparing nutritious meals for children, maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene, and managing the kitchen efficiently, while also being willing to support the teaching team as an unqualified reliever when required.

About the Role As a COOK, you will:
- Prepare and serve nutritious, balanced meals
- Follow dietary requirements and Ministry of Health guidelines
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards
- Assist with menu planning and kitchen organisation
In addition, when needed as a Reliever, you will:
- Provide support across all age groups as required
- Contribute to creating stimulating and engaging learning environments
- Work collaboratively with the teaching team
- Assist with programme planning and daily routines
What We Offer

- Availability to work within a variety of shifts from Monday to Friday between 7:30am to 5:30 pm as required by the centre

What We’re Looking For
- The successful applicant will have:
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Experience in food preparation within an early childhood setting
- Flexibility, energy, and adaptability
- A strong team-player approach with a positive, can-do attitude
- Confidence working in both classroom and kitchen environments
- Strong and effective communication skills
- An organised and proactive approach
