Are you a nurturing, passionate Registered Teacher ready to make a real difference in the lives of infants and toddlers? BestStart Rototuna is looking for a full-time Qualified Teacher to join our Nursery team (licensed for 14 babies). This is a backfill position due to an internal promotion, a wonderful reflection of the growth and opportunities within our centre. We welcome applications from experienced Under 2s teachers and newly graduated teachers. If you don't yet have under 2s experience but have the calm, caring nature and genuine passion to work with babies, we would love to hear from you.
About the Role You'll be part of a supportive and collaborative team, creating a warm, safe and responsive environment where our babies can thrive. Our nursery is a special space focused on strong relationships, unhurried care moments, and meaningful learning experiences grounded in Te Whāriki.
What We're Looking For
- ECE Qualified and Registered Teacher (or Provisional Registration)
- A strong understanding of Te Whāriki
- A nurturing, patient, and responsive teaching style
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships with children, whānau, and colleagues
- A commitment to inclusive practice, reflective teaching, and continuous growth
- A genuine love for working with babies
