Health & Wellbeing In-School Educator/Facilitator

Are you a fantastic Educator / Teacher Aide / Facilitator / Health Promoter / Youth worker / Parent? Please be aware that we work school term-time only. As we have a lot of work in Central/ East and South Auckland living in this area is advantageous.

• Do you have experience working with young people or are you willing to learn?
• Do you want to make a positive difference in the lives of the tamariki, young people & whanau living in Aotearoa
• Do you have a background in either health / health promotion / nursing / education / youth leadership / child care / parenting or similar?
• Are you a great communicator
• Do you have (or are you motivated to build) an understanding of tikanga Māori and a proficiency in Te Reo (support available)
• Do you have availability for full school days 08:30 - 15:00 (min of 3 per week) & (not compulsory) the odd evening (1 hr) - via Zoom or face to face
• Are you prepared to travel throughout Auckland and occasionally beyond?

We are looking for a new team member, delivering our Puberty, Body Autonomy, Body Image & Cyber Safety Programmes in schools (and community groups) throughout Auckland & beyond. Part of the role will be teaching young girls about menstruation. The ability to handle these subjects with maturity and manaakitanga is essential for this role. Programme delivery is within school hours - with some optional evening work (to deliver Parents/Whanau info evenings). Must be willing to work across Auckland and be prepared to deal with the traffic :) - there are also opportunities to go 'on tour' for a few days to a week at a time throughout Aotearoa. Educators tend to work between 2-4 days most weeks, term time. Talk with us about what days suit you, working between 8:30am - 2:45pm + travel.

Full training and ongoing support provided.
