These positions offer 10 - 20 hours per week during school terms (after school) with the option of additional hours during school holiday periods or to cover leave.
HitPlay is a well-established and very successful Before School, After School and School Holiday childcare programme provider for 5-13-year-old children, operating programmes throughout Mid-Canterbury. We pride ourselves that we offer a safe and encouraging environment for the children who attend our programmes, and a fun, enjoyable and supportive environment for the staff who deliver these programmes for us.
We are seeking people for the following roles;
- 2 x Team Leaders (Part time - Permanent) - 15-25 hours per week minimum
- 2 x Team Leader Assistants (Casual) - 5 hours per week minimum
Role and Responsibilities:
- Support the programme Supervisor in the day-day programme delivery.
- Assist with preparing materials and equipment for all activities.
- Increase engagement and achievement within the programme by supporting children and nurturing positive self-esteem.
- Facilitate a productive and encompassing environment for children.
Additional Requirements:
- Clean Police Clearance
- Driver’s license and own transportation is preferred
Desirable qualities:
- Outgoing and confident personality
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to use the initiative and multi-task
- Ideally understands the supervisory responsibilities
Previous childcare experience is beneficial but not essential (specifically for children between 5-13)
