Victory Primary School is seeking a caring, capable Teacher Aide / Kaiāwhina to support our students to learn, grow, and experience success.

About the role:
This role involves working alongside teachers to support individual students and small groups, including those with additional learning needs. As a Teacher Aide / Kaiāwhina, you will help create inclusive, engaging learning environments and build positive, respectful relationships with students and whānau.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting learning programmes under teacher guidance
- Working with individuals and small groups to build confidence and skills
- Assisting with behaviour support in a positive, respectful way
- Helping to create safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environments
- Contributing to a strong team culture and positive school environment
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children (school or community settings)
- Is patient, empathetic, and able to build strong relationships
- Is responsive to diverse cultures and backgrounds
- Can support neurodiverse learners (e.g. autism, ADHD) with understanding and flexibility
- Works well as part of a team and takes initiative when needed
- Has a willingness to engage with te reo Māori and the bicultural foundations of Aotearoa New Zealand
