Tuckshop Assistant

Christchurch Boys' High School (CBHS) is seeking a friendly and reliable Tuckshop Assistant to support our students and staff in a busy, welcoming school environment. This is a part-time position commencing at the start of Term 2, 2026. The role is for 12 hours per week, working Thursdays and Fridays from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, during school term time only.

About the role

As our Tuckshop Assistant, you will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of the school tuckshop. Your responsibilities will include:

food preparation and service stock replenishment and organisation maintaining a clean and safe workspace supervising and supporting volunteers ensuring compliance with food safety and control requirements About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

friendly, approachable, and a confident communicator positive, proactive, and willing to lend a hand where needed able to use initiative and problem-solve effectively reliable, honest, and dependable a strong team player Previous experience or knowledge of food handling and hygiene practices would be an advantage, but is not essential. Full training will be provided. Most importantly, you’ll enjoy working in a fun, supportive environment.
