Description
In this role, you will provide professional one-to-one counselling and support to students in Years 9–13, helping them navigate personal, emotional, social and academic challenges. You will contribute primarily to our Annual Plan, which has four Pou. Especially Pou 2: Wellbeing and Belonging – creating a safe, inclusive environment where every student feels pride, connection, mana and the ability to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
You will work collaboratively with staff, whānau, and external agencies to promote resilience, mental health awareness, and positive relationships. The successful applicant will hold a relevant counselling qualification, be a registered (or eligible) member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC), and have experience working with adolescents.
