Join Our Team as a LEGO Education Facilitator!
Do you love working with kids? Are you passionate about hands-on learning and building with LEGO? If so, this role could be perfect for you!
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and skilled LEGO Education Facilitator to lead engaging, student-focused programmes, including primary school, after-school and school holiday classes, and kids birthday parties.
- Part-time role: Minimum 15 hours per week (with potential for additional hours).
- Availability: During school time, at least two afternoons (negotiable) 2:30–6:00 PM, school holiday shifts, and occasional weekend shifts.
About Us: We are a charity dedicated to fostering exploration, creativity, and accessibility through LEGO-based STEAM education. Our small but passionate team operates in Tūranga, Christchurch’s Central Library, as well as community library locations and schools across Canterbury.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in teaching or facilitation (especially with primary school aged children).
- Familiarity with LEGO resources and introductory coding concepts (a plus, but not essential).
- Experience working with neurodivergent children (a plus, but not essential).
- Ability to connect with diverse groups, including children, parents, and volunteers.
- A quick learner with a problem-solving mindset.
- Strong communication skills and high social intelligence.
- A team player who can also work independently.
*** You must have a full NZ driver’s licence as some sessions may take place at community libraries or other teaching locations.
