Skilled Fabricator Welders Wanted – Build What Matters Are you a highly skilled Fabricator Welder who takes pride in precision, strength, and quality workmanship? We’re looking for experienced professionals who can hit the ground running and turn raw steel into the structural frameworks and heavy machinery. If you’re confident across multiple welding processes and enjoy working on varied, large-scale projects — this is the opportunity for you.

Location Opportunities available nationwide across New Zealand – we’ll match you with roles that suit your experience and preferences.

The Role You’ll be hands-on across a wide range of fabrication and welding projects, working with materials like mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. This role is ideal for someone experienced in both light and heavy fabrication, with strong technical ability and attention to detail.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Heavy fabrication – joining large steel beams and plates
  • Multi-process welding – primarily MIG (GMAW) and Flux-Cored (FCAW)
  • TIG welding (beneficial for aluminium/stainless work)
  • Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings
  • Fitting and assembling components before final welding
  • Shaping, bending, and constructing structural and non-structural elements
  • Ensuring all work meets strict quality and safety standards

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in welding/fabrication
  • Strong capability in MIG, TIG, and ARC welding
  • Proven experience in structural steel, forestry equipment, marine, or pressure vessel work highly regarded
  • Ability to read and work from detailed blueprints
  • Welding certifications such as AS/NZS 2980 or AS/NZS 1554.1 (highly valued)
  • Trade qualification preferred (or solid hands-on experience)
  • Own tools and reliable transport
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Strong commitment to Health & Safety
