Start your civil engineering career working on real projects at Strata Group Consulting Engineers that shape communities across Hawkes Bay. With a strong pipeline of work, we are looking for a passionate Graduate Civil Engineer to join our team and grow alongside experienced engineers on a wide range of projects. With a mix of office and onsite experience, you will have hands on experience from day one.

Strata Group is a highly regarded multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with a proven track record in structural and civil engineering. Based in Hawkes Bay, our team of over 30 professionals combine technical excellence with a collaborative and down-to-earth culture.

You will be encouraged to embrace challenges, grow your technical capacity and take on responsibility as your experience develops. Role responsibilities include:

• Go out on site to support site inspections, construction monitoring and real-world problem solving
• Work closely with civil designers and other engineers to produce high-quality engineering documentation
• Apply your civil design skills across a range of residential, commercial and industrial projects
• Contribute to projects from concept through to consenting and construction
• Support the delivery of land development projects across all stages
• Coordinate and distribute contract documentation

You might be a recent graduate with a four-year Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) or you have one - three years of experience in a related field in New Zealand. We are also looking for:

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn - just as important as experience
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
• Enjoy working in a team and managing multiple tasks
• An interest in emerging tools such as automation, coding or AI models in engineering workflows
